The Important Question No One Asks

Surprising, but true

What would you do if you had no need for more money or more status?

What would you do if you had enough fame (if you wanted it), a good family, environment, and all the toys you wanted?

I came across this question in Derek Sivers' book Hell Yes, Or No yesterday. It's a tough one.

I thought about it overnight and I would love to keep writing. Writing and sharing everything I could to have more people join me in a land where we're not chasing something for ourselves. Where we want to give, and give only.

Matt Mochary was on the Tim Ferris show some time ago, a podcast that should be on top of your list. He's a CEO coach that's worked with the world's best - Naval Ravikant, Sam Altman, and other Silicon Valley giants.

He does it for free.

Why? He's already made the money that he wanted to make earlier in his life. He doesn't need more and would rather give back. To share his skills and experience with the world. He's even shared all his coaching methods in a google doc for the world to use. For free.

There's something to be said about sharing everything you have for nothing in return. Especially in a world where everyone's trying to make quick cash and start a side-hustle.

But why wait to be rich and famous before sharing what you've learned? I'm sharing this now, with you. For free. And it feels great.

So what's your answer to the question?

What would you do if you didn't have a need for money and fame? What would you do if you didn't need anything from anyone?

That's what you should start doing. Now.

Harry

P.S. I'm curious to see what your answer to the question would be.
