Learn faster starting now, with bite-sized things you can do everyday.
Boungiorno, it’s Harry. This is EXECUTE, the newsletter that quenches your development thirst like a Japanese Boss Coffee on a hot summer day.
Reading time: about 1 minute, 14 seconds.
I’ve had time in Europe to reflect on my writing.
I’m finding it more rewarding to condense what I’ve written into a sentence. So here are three sentences that capture everything so you don’t have to read a whole lot.
“We don’t learn from our experiences. We learn from reflecting on our experiences. You can choose what to reflect on, and what to ignore.”
Yes, you can choose what you think about. It’s not easy - but nothing worthwhile is.
“Habits can only be built when you leave something in the tank every time you carry out your desired habit. Burnout leaves a bad taste in your mind, stopping you from starting again.”
Recognise when you set lofty goals. Most of the time it’s subconsciously to impress others. Set small goals so you can actually achieve them. Do it for you.
“Beyond a certain point, intelligence becomes irrelevant. Society doesn’t reward high IQs. The lion’s share of greatness is earned by thinking without the expected consequences.”
Nobel prize winners don’t have the highest IQs. They solve the biggest problems thinking in a way that’s not held back by what everyone else thinks.
That’s it for today.
Sending you good vibes from Paris.
Harry
